Building Material Distributors Inc. is Hiring an Outside Sales Representative Near Greenville, NC

Building Material Distributors (BMD) is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow its east coast region in the greater NE-North Carolina/SE-Virginia area. The ideal candidate will live within 75 miles of Greenville, NC. What you’ll do:

As an employee-owner Outside Sales Representative, you will achieve sales targets by generating new and profitable business through building strategic relationships and selling building products and services to BMD customers. In doing so you will travel the greater NE-NC/SE-VA region in your personal vehicle (vehicle allowance provided) as you network with customers, demonstrate product features and benefits, and collaborate with internal teams to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Five years’ sales experience in a related industry such as building products, home improvement, wholesale distribution, or other similar or transferable industries.
  • Proven record of securing and maintaining new customers.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office to include basic Excel, Word, and PPT; Adobe and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record; regional travel using personal vehicle.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug-test and criminal background check.
